Role Purpose

We have the below Programme Manager role in our Organisation. The role is within our Technology Business Unit – Mpumalanga Region.

The main role purpose is to co-ordinate and manage the implementation of Mobile Engineering projects through the complete project lifecycle as well as the delivery of project milestones ( systems, products, and services) within defined time frames, specifications, quality and available resources..

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

 

Accountabilities

  • Save Capex and Opex, increase rollout effectiveness and drive products and opportunities
  • Manage regional rollout, end to end processes, technology, spectrum, optimization and configuration with various business units and stakeholders
  • Manage, guide, lead and assist a team of project leaders and administrators
  • Accountable for on-time product delivery, product quality, cost saving and operations
     

Competencies

  • Manage project budgets, SOW, RFIx and vendor selection
  • Deliver focused project management and virtual leadership of cross-functional teams
  • Strategic and innovative thinking
  • Communication and presentation skills to senior level management, including technical report writing
  • Problem solving skills

 

 KPIs

  • Develop and deploy concepts to reduce infrastructure costs / Capex investment to support network expansion
  • Reduce network Opex cost by implementing different or improved technologies and concepts
  • Programme manage projects / new concepts from incubation until fully operationalised
  • Customer experience indicators, including network NPS, benchmarking and crowdsource data
  • Save Capex and Opex, increase rollout effectiveness and drive products and opportunities
  • Manage regional rollout, end to end processes, technology, spectrum, optimization and configuration with various business units and stakeholders
  • Accountable for on-time product delivery, product quality, cost saving and operations
     
Education
  • 3 years’ degree / diploma in business management or project management (Essential)
  • 8 years’ experience within ICT environment, including:
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience (Essential)
  • 2 – 3 years’ supervisory / management experience (Essential)
